Photography Direction for Legacy Creations (Costco Vendor)

For this project, I created a style-guide to help the factory in Asia photograph furniture programs better. Think of it as long distance photography direction.

In this situation, the furniture buyer had a specific look in mind for packaging labels for the furniture sold in his department. As the photography is performed in China, I was brought in to help guide the studio production to be more inline to what the buyer was looking for. As a mass-market retailer, Costco’s design preferences run very traditional. Designs need to be clean, clear, and any customer should be able to imagine the item in their home. This guide and my further direction helped the Chinease studio to succeed in creating photography that suited the customer and the client.
